Después de regresar en 2012 con un nombre acortado, Dexys, en 2016 editan 'Let The Record Show: Dexys Do Irish And Country Soul', un álbum que en su mayoría toma estándares tradicionales irlandeses. El resto del álbum es un conjunto de temas diversísimos, como la balada 'How Do I Live' y 'Both Sides Now' de Joni Mitchell. Luego la tristeza nostálgica de 'The Town I Loved So Well' o el tema estrella 'Carrickfergus', a un ritmo fúnebre, que cuenta la historia de un minero terminal que regresa a casa. Puede que 'Let the Record Show' no sea el disco que los fans de Dexys deseaban, pero es un álbum de Dexys en toda su extensión.
