DESCRIPCION 'The Right to Rock' de 1985 se edito bajo la batuta de Gene Simmons, que tomo a la banda bajo su control. 'The Right to Rock' esta encabezado por la canción que titula el álbum que perduraría como su mayor éxito. La canción se adaptó perfectamente al mercado emergente del pop-metal. En cuanto al resto del álbum, rocks duros competentes como 'Back to the City', 'Electric Love', 'Speed Demon' y 'You're the Victim (I'm the Crime)' son competentes. Hay alguna tonteria un poco vergonzosa como 'So Many Girls, So Little Time', el sin sentido 'Get Down', o la versión de 'Let's Spend the Night together' de los Stones. Diez canciones que rara vez superan los cuatro minutos.
