'Psycho Circus' prosigue con el pop-metal sórdido y tonto. Es un tipo de música que puede sonar convincente cuando es interpretada por una banda joven, que no es el caso de Kiss. El álbum suena sórdido. Kiss ya no suena joven. Hay algunos himnos medianamente convincentes, 'I Pledge Allegiance to the State of Rock & Roll', 'You Wanted the Best'. Es resto es complaciente para los fanáticos solamente.
