Una selección de 35 pistas de lo mejor de de Young entre 1966 y 1976, que incluye canciones interpretadas por Buffalo Springfield, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, y la Stills-Young Band, así como su trabajo en solitario. Además de las cinco canciones inéditas, 'Decade' ofrece pistas clave como las de Buffalo Springfield ('Mr.Soul', 'Broken Arrow' y 'I Am a Child'), 'Sugar Mountain', aparecida sólo como single, 'Cinnamon Girl', 'Down by the River' y 'Cowgirl in the Sand' del disco 'Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere', 'Southern Man', 'After the Gold Rush', 'Old Man', 'Heart Of Gold'. Un álbum muy escuchable que atraerá a una amplia base de fans.
