'Shine A Light' es un proyecto de prestigio, gracias a la colaboración del director Martin Scorsese. La presencia del director ganador de un Premio de la Academia, eleva a 'Shine a Light' muy por encima de otras películas concierto. Pero Scorsese no es solo el director, es parte de la película y de la banda sonora. En gran medida, la música de 'Shine a Light' confirma que la banda conserva una notable alquimia que se ha profundizado con los años. Es inútil comparar 'Shine a Light' con puntos de referencia tan antiguos como 'Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out!', ya que ahora es una banda diferente. Está bien agregar un noveno álbum en directo a la abultada discografía en vivo de los Rolling Stones.
