DESCRIPCION Después de alcanzar un Top Ten con una versión rock de la tradicional balada de pub irlandés 'Whiskey in the Jar', Thin Lizzy empezó a trabajar en 'Vagabonds of the Western World', su tercer álbum y último para el sello Decca. El éxito dio poder de negociación a la banda para exigir más dinero y mas tiempo para grabar, dando como resultado su primer álbum musicalmente satisfactorio. El conciso tema R&B "Mama Nature Said" inicia la sesión con Eric Bell en la guitarra slide. La exagerada "The Hero and the Madman" y la tibia "Slow Blues" amenazan con descarrilar el proceso, pero todo vuelve a la normalidad con su primer clásico "The Rocker". Rebosante de actitud y arrogancia peligrosa, Lynott establece el tono.
