DESCRIPCION Es difícil no interpretar los coros de la cancion 'Fighting' como un intento de recuperarse del tenue 'Night Life'. Si bien 'Night Life' fue suave y relajado, 'Fighting' es un disco tenso de rock & roll vicioso, duro. Hay dos puntos fundamentales en el trabajo. En primer lugar, la integración de los guitarristas Scott Gorham y Brian Robertson, que consiguen dar rienda suelta a su sonido furioso (Robertson escribió el boogie "Silver Dollar" y Gorham "Ballad of a Hard Man"). En segundo lugar, las composiciones de Phil Lynott estan a un nivel muy alto, con temas rockeros como "Wild One", el jazz Springsteeniano de "For Those Who Love to Live", o la combinación de ambos en "Freedom Song". Aqui comienzan su época clásica.
