Uriah Heep estaban un poco desquiciados en 1985. Habían sufrido la decepción comercial de 'Head First' y la posterior pérdida de su contrato de grabación. Afortunadamente, CBS Records les ofrece otra oportunidad que fue tristemente desperdiciada con el lanzamiento de este 'Equator'. El tema de apertura 'Rockarama' establece un tono artificial para lo que sigue en este horrible album de pop-metal. Algunas letras ('Bad Blood') y baladas ('Lost One Love') te asfixian antes de la cuarta pista. Los oyentes que se atreven a aventurarse más alla no son recompensados por su esfuerzo, ya que con temas como 'Skool's Burnin' y 'Party Time' no consiguen mejorar este registro.
