'Every Loser' resulta ser un buen álbum de rock & roll, potente, ruidoso y rebosante de energía y rebeldía. Parte del mérito se debe la reunión de talentos de gran nivel para respaldar a Iggy, incluyendo a Duff McKagan de Guns N' Roses, Chad Smith y Josh Klinghoffer de los Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stone Gossard de Pearl Jam y Taylor Hawkins de los Foo Fighters, que dotan a la música de fuerza y a la vez delicadeza. Eso es evidente en temas como 'Frenzy' y 'Modern Day Rip Off'. También hay temas más mesurados como 'Strung Out Johnny' y 'Morning Show'. 'Every Loser' esta lleno de reflexiones gruñonas inteligentes sobre la adicción, las alegrías y los terrores de la vida en Miami, y los sorprendentes placeres de seguir vivo. Pop canta con pasión, fuerza y auténtica autoridad. A sus 75 años Iggy Pop se siente feliz de ser inteligente, estar cabreado, ser capaz de escribir buenas canciones y cantar con una banda de rock de primera.
